Dr Ian Denley
Ian is joint CEO responsible for corporate affairs, research and development and the overall running of the company. He has over 25 years’ experience in the software industry, with the last 15 specialising in healthcare.
Ian has led a number of public and private companies in the health and social care sectors as CEO or chairman, most recently co-founding Shearwater Healthcare Investments and Shearwater Systems with Markus Bolton. He is also chairman of Graphnet Health.
This is now Ian’s second stint as chief executive of System C – he left the company the first time following its sale to McKesson in 2011. During his previous tenure, Ian oversaw the development of the Medway product suite, a number of strategic acquisitions including that of Liquidlogic, the company’s flotation on AIM and its sale to McKesson.
Markus is joint CEO responsible for sales, strategy and deployment services. Markus has over thirty years’ experience as a director of IT companies and he co-founded System C in 1983.
This is Markus’s second stint as a director of System C. Previously he helped design the Sycero 4th Generation Programming Language, he took the company into the health sector, he set up and managed the company’s services and consulting group and was responsible for all PAS and EPR sales.
Hayley is the Managing Director of Vitalpac, responsible for all aspects of the business. Prior to this, Hayley was the Director of Professional Services and Support at System C and, latterly, at TLC. Hayley is already familiar with Vitalpac and its products, and is very much looking forward to helping the company go from strength to strength.
Client Engagement Director
Nick has considerable experience within the NHS as a Chief Operating Officer and formerly as CIO and has 10 years’ experience at Board level in the acute sector. With previous private sector experience in manufacturing and software development, he is passionate about bringing improvements to patient care. Nick was the executive lead for the first hospital wide implementation of Vitalpac in University Hospital, Coventry.
Dr Peter Greengross
Peter trained as an orthopaedic and trauma surgeon and public health physician, and was Assistant Medical Director of the Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals NHS Trust until 2005. Prior to joining Vitalpac he established a successful UK consultancy business for HLSP, a global healthcare consultancy, before working for Humana Europe as Director of Health & Wellness.
Peter holds an MA in medical sciences from Cambridge University, an MSc in Public Health from London University and an MBA from London Business School. He qualified as a doctor at the London Hospital, is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and Faculty of Public Health, and retains a part-time clinical role in Emergency Medicine.
Prior to founding Vitalpac in early 2005, Roger was co-founder and Managing Director of Dr Foster Ltd, which rapidly became the market leader for research into medical outcomes. Roger invented and developed the Dr Foster clinical monitoring products and was responsible for their commercial exploitation within the NHS.
Roger graduated in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from Birmingham University. He is a chartered engineer and spent his early career as a specialist measurement and control engineer on major hazard chemical plants with ICI.
He has been owner/manager of several businesses since graduating with an MBA from Stanford Business School in California.
